March has certainly come in like a lion. Let’s hope the beast can be tamed, so that we enjoy a calm and productive Spring.
As we welcome back our students to 5 days a week, it’s hard to believe that it’s been almost a year since we were last able to do so. The Covid-19 Pandemic has caused each of us to reconsider our priorities. The struggles of each family have been unique, and as a school system we’ve had to reimagine how to help our students learn and grow. Technology has played a key role thus far, and is sure to remain a central part of how we grow forward.
Our most important task remains keeping our students safe. We have prepared our buildings following the guidance of the CDC, with proper social distancing, frequent handwashing and sanitizing, and requiring everyone to wear a mask. Our students have done a superb job with these protocol, and we fully expect them to continue.
Another important task we must all complete each day is the Daily Screener. Please be certain to complete the Screener before leaving for school in the morning.
For all of our in-person students, we have scheduled school portraits to be taken on Tuesday, March 9. We are working with the photography company to schedule portraits for our Distance Learners, some time in April. Details will be forthcoming.
We are very excited to welcome back our students 5 days a week. The teachers have so much to share, and will do everything they can to make each moment count.
Here we go!
